SCHEDULE
1:30pm - Guest arrival at the castle.
2:00 pm - Ceremony Start.
2:30pm - Full wedding group photo outside castle (weather permitting)
2:45 pm - Canapes and drinks served in Laigh Hall
4:30 pm - Call to dinner at the banquet room.
4:45 pm - Speeches (We welcome anyone and everyone who would like to say anything to please join in with the speeches/toasts)
5:15 pm - Dinner is served.
6:30 pm - Wedding Band begin in Laigh Hall
7:30 pm - Cake Cutting in Laigh Hall
7:35 pm - First Dance in Laigh hall
9:30 pm - Evening snack buffet is served
11:30 pm - Last Orders
11:40 pm - Bar Closes
12:00 am - Guests Depart
We have full, private access to the entirety of Neidpath Castle and its grounds and encourage our guests to explore as they wish throughout the day - it
is like a mini museum!
There will be plenty of fun activities scattered around for our guests to enjoy throughout the day & evening, including a photo station in the dungeon, a cigar bar by the door, fire pits with smores station and more!
There may even be a few special wee treats hidden around the castle for our guests to find...
GETTING TO THE CASTLE
The closest city is Edinburgh (approx. 35-55mins drive) so if you're flying to Scotland this is your best option.

COUPLE OF THINGS
DRESS CODE
Classic semi-formal wedding attire is appreciated. Bear in mind Neidpath is an ancient castle with uneven flooring and worn stone staircases which might be a challenge after a wee dram - so please pick your footwear appropriately.
GIFTS
Your craic and company is the best gift we could ask for. Please don't feel obliged, but should you wish to help us keep the celebrations going, a contribution towards our honeymoon fund would be so greatly appreciated. We encourage our guests to bring us a card on the day as we would love to have these as a keepsake to look back on.
PLUS ONES
Regrettably, the venue is small and we cannot accommodate additional guests beyond those named on the invitation list of the RSVP page.
CHILDREN
We are likewise unable to extend invitations to children beyond our direct family. We hope you are understanding and can enjoy a night off from parenting!
PHONES & PHOTOS
We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderful photographer, Madeline, capturing our day but we still encourage our guests to take lots of photos & videos. Our only exception is that we ask that no phones are used at all during the ceremony, even for the exit walk, as we want our photogtrapher to be able to capture the moments and our guests faces without being blocked by phones.
CEREMONY
Please note, due to Scottish law there in no alcohol permitted in the ceremony room at all. Ach. Don't worry, you will be able to get right on it as soon as the marriage is official!
WEATHER
We'll keep you updated as best as we can as the day approaches, but please be aware that it will be autumn in Scotland - we're hoping for watery sun... but there could also be a biting smirr o' rain.
